These three parts must be connected to work, and the coupling is an important device that connects them.Coupling is mainly used for the connection between two shafts. It can also be used for the connection between shafts and other parts (reels, gears, pulleys, etc.).Its main task is to transmit torque.
According to the relative positional relationship between the two shafts to be connected, the coupling can be divided into three types: rigid, elastic and hydraulic.
Rigid couplingIt is used where the two axes can be strictly aligned and no relative displacement occurs during work;
Flexible couplingIt is used where the two shafts are deviated or there is relative displacement during work; the hydraulic coupling uses liquid kinetic energy to transmit power, and is used where the prime mover needs to be protected from overload damage and can be started without load.
