Various pumps and motors are often connected by elastic couplings. During use, the elastic washer of the elastic coupling is easy to be damaged or the phenomenon of slag drop and wear occurs. What is the reason?analyse as below:
1) The main engine is misaligned with the pump and fan shaft system, resulting in additional torque;
2) The quality of rubber components;
3) Torque matching problem, the rated allowable torque of the elastic coupling is too small;
4) The machining accuracy of the elastic ring hole is low, or the hole is worn;
5) The clearance of the coupling becomes smaller.
If the coaxiality is not good, you need to check whether the vibration between the equipment and the motor is normal, whether the connecting bolts (respectively check the foundation fixing bolts and stud connecting bolts, etc.) are loose, whether the bearing clearance is too large, and the gap between the two couplings Whether the clearance is reasonable, whether the impeller of the pump is blocked or not causing imbalance, etc.
There are three situations in which the coupling gap becomes smaller: 3. The motor-end coupling and the shaft are not properly matched or axially positioned; 1. The pump-end coupling and the shaft are not well-fitted or axially positioned; 2. The pump shaft The bearing is not well positioned or the bearing is damaged.
