2. Carefully designed:
(1) To match the diaphragm coupling with the shaft system of the unit, the torsional stiffness and moment of inertia of the diaphragm coupling should be considered in the design, so that the shaft system will not produce torsional resonance, that is, to avoid the system torsional natural frequency close to Working speed.Secondly, by calculating the suspension bending moment (bending moment to the rotor bearing caused by the weight of the coupling) and additional bending moment (the bending moment of the coupling to the rotor bearing due to torsion transmission and misalignment during operation), determine the appropriate The lateral vibration characteristics of the system make the lateral natural vibration frequency of the system avoid the working speed.When the design is modified, the torsional stiffness, moment of inertia, and center of gravity of the diaphragm coupling can be made equivalent to the original gear coupling, which can be achieved in general.
(2) The diaphragm coupling must have sufficient misalignment compensation capability.
(3) The selected coupling should be able to adapt to 110% of the maximum continuous speed of the unit.
(4) When necessary, the protective function provided by the diaphragm coupling in the event of accidental failure of the diaphragm should be considered.
3. Install correctly:
(1) The allowable shaft alignment deviation on the installation drawing is the maximum limit value. The deviation should be minimized during actual installation, so as to ensure the long life of the coupling.
(2) Correctly tightening the nut on the diaphragm assembly is essential to ensure the normal operation of the diaphragm coupling.Over-tightening will cause the diaphragm to be prematurely twisted and deformed after being loaded, or even fail. Over-tightening will increase the compression stress on the diaphragm and shorten its service life.
4. Regular inspection: The inspection contents include: whether the fasteners on the diaphragm are loose, whether the diaphragm is broken or obvious plastic deformation, whether the anchor bolts are loose, whether the alignment of the unit has changed, whether the bearings are unevenly worn, Whether the shaft is bent or deformed.
