CouplingThe reason for the tearing is mainly due to uneven gear material and inconsistent hardness after heat treatment.Secondly, it is caused by blunt tooth and improper cutting amount. Therefore, we must first ensure that the material is uniform and choose an appropriate heat treatment method. Normalizing is generally better than quenching and tempering. In order to avoid buildup, the cutting amount should be appropriate and the cutting fluid should be fully injected.
The main reason for tooth gnawing is the sudden change in the relative position of the hob and the tooth blank during gear hobbing. In practice, it is found that this phenomenon is caused by the following factors.
1. When the oil cylinder installed above the vertical feed screw on the gear hobbing machine is unstable, it is prone to crawling of the feed of the tool post, and the tooth surface will be gnawed one by one.
2. Too loose or too tight the wedge iron of the tool post guide rail will also cause crawling and generate tooth gnawing.
3. The two thrust bearings behind the cutter shaft are faulty, which causes irregular axial movement of the hob during gear hobbing and tooth gnawing occurs.
4. The meshing gap between the transmission pairs at both ends of the split-tooth transmission chain is too large.
The main measure to eliminate the phenomenon of tooth gnawing is to eliminate the possibility of sudden changes in the relative position between the hob and the tooth blank. To this end, attention must be paid to the pressure adjustment of the oil cylinder, the tight adjustment of the wedge iron of the tool post, to eliminate the creep in the movement of the tool post, and to pay attention to the gap adjustment of the thrust bearing of the tool shaft and the transmission pair of the gear transmission chain.
